Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center (A&PI Wellness
Center) offers a range of ongoing support and social groups
to meet the diverse needs of A&PI clients, families, and
friends. They include:
DOWNETime Wednesday
DOWNEtime Wednesdays is a social, discussion (rap) group,
and drop-in joint. It is a safe space for Gay/Bi/Downe/Questioning
Pinoys/Pilipino-Americans for open dialogue and discussions.
DOWNETime Wednesdays take place on 1st and 3rd Wednesday of
each month from 7:30 to 9:30 p. m. For further information,

Chinese Rainbow
Chinese Rainbow is a social group for Chinese lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender, and questioning people of all ages
and dialects from the San Francisco Bay Area, with a primary
focus on people between the ages of 18 and 29. Chinese Rainbow
meets twice a month for social events, workshops, and discussion.
We provide a safe, friendly, and welcoming space to meet people
from the queer Chinese community. For more information, contact

AQU25A (Asian and Pacific Islander, Queer and Questioning,
Under 25, All Together)
AQU25A is a group for and run by young queer (lesbian, gay,
bisexual, and transgender) and questioning Asians, Pacific
Islanders, and Hapas. We hold drop-ins, gatherings, picnics,
groups, workshops, individual counseling, a peer leadership
program, socials, parties, dances, trips, retreats and other
fun activities throughout the year. For more information,

“Club Euphoria”
”Club Euphoria” is a Transgender social/support
group. It is intended as a safe and nurturing space for making
new friends, companionship, and uninhibited discussion. Members
gather the second (A&PI only) and fourth (general) Wednesdays
of the month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and talk about a wide
range of interests and issues affecting the community: from
make-over tips and personal experiences, to legal and immigration
concerns, domestic violence, harassment, discrimination and

Living Well Network
Living Well Network is a network of A&PIs living with
HIV in the San Francisco Bay Area most of whom receive services
or attend supportive or educational activities such as monthly
social and community building groups, annual self care and
self awareness retreats, HIV treatment education and complementary
therapies workshops, and wellness activities such as nutrition
classes and gym and personal training programs conducted in
small groups. Specific activities are conducted for women,
transgenders, newly HIV-diagnosed, long-term survivors and
Japanese-speaking individuals. For more information, contact

Joy Luck Club
This social/support group meets on the last Friday of each
month to play Mah Jong. Participants get to meet other HIV+
A&PI's informally. For more information, contact Noelle

A&PI Wellness Center educates, supports, empowers, and
advocates for A&PI communities, particularly A&PIs
living with or at-risk for HIV/AIDS. Founded in 1987 as a
grassroots response to the HIV/AIDS crisis in communities
of color, it is the oldest nonprofit organization in North
America targeting A&PI communities around sexual health
and HIV/AIDS services.
