Asian & Pacific Wellness Center Now Offers Free Rapid
HIV Testing on Tuesday Afternoons in San Francisco

Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center (A&PI Wellness
Center) today announced the availability of free, confidential,
and anonymous rapid HIV antibody testing at its San Francisco
office, located at 730 Polk Street, Fourth Floor in San Francisco’s
Tenderloin neighborhood. Trained counselors provide results
of rapid HIV antibody tests within one hour. A&PI Wellness
Center conducts rapid HIV testing every Tuesday from 1 p.m.
to 4 p.m., by appointment only. To schedule an appointment

A&PI Wellness Center provides counseling throughout the
testing process. The counseling and testing process takes
about one hour. This testing method is as accurate as the

HIV Test Counseling is available in Japanese, Cantonese,
Mandarin, Vietnamese, and English. Interpretation services
are available for other Asian and Pacific Islander languages.
A&PI Wellness Center also conducts free HIV testing at
the San Francisco Tet Festival, Chinatown Health Fair, LGBT
Pride and other community events held throughout the year.

A&PI Wellness Center educates, supports, empowers, and
advocates for A&PI communities, particularly A&PIs
living with or at-risk for HIV/AIDS. Founded in 1987 as a
grassroots response to the HIV/AIDS crisis in communities

America targeting A&PI communities around sexual health
and HIV/AIDS services.
